Not on Amazon? Here's how to start.

That's fine. Instead of us copying your books from Amazon, you'll type them in yourself. It takes a little longer, but it isn't hard. Here's every step, in order.

Good to have nearby

  • Your book covers, saved as pictures on your computer or phone
  • A short description of each book
  • The links to where readers can buy your books, if you have them
  1. Step 1: Sign up with your Google account

Click the button below. It opens the sign-up page in AuthorPage. Click Get started with Google and pick your Google account (the one you use for Gmail). There's no new password to remember.

    Open the sign-up page

No Google account? Email sekar@authorpage.me and we'll sort it out together.

  2. Step 2: Say you'll add your info yourself

You'll see the question Are your books on Amazon.com? Click No, I'll add my info manually.

  3. Step 3: Tell us about yourself

Type your name the way you want readers to see it. A short bio, a photo and your genre are nice to have, but you can skip them and add them later. Click Continue.

  4. Step 4: Name your website

First, give your website a name. Most authors just use their own name. Click Continue. Then choose your web address. It will look like authorpage.me/yourname. Click Continue, then Go to Dashboard.

  5. Step 5: Add your books

On the left, click Content, then Books. (On a phone, tap Content at the bottom of the screen.) Click Add Your First Book.

Type the title and description, and add the cover picture. Click Save changes.

Once the book is saved, you can tell readers where to buy it. Under Purchase links, click Add Link, pick the store, and paste the link to your book there. Do this for each store you sell in.

Not published yet? That's fine. Skip this step and add your books when they're ready.

  6. Step 6: Publish when you're ready

Nothing is public until you say so. When you're happy, click Publish site at the top of the screen, then Publish site again to confirm. Your website is now live for readers to visit.
