Atmospheric & Delightfully Unsettling
I really loved this eerie, imaginative collection -- it felt like stepping into a very creepy new world. Spooky dolls, glittery ghosts, and a cursed clock that chimes at random. The author set the tone right away, and I was immediately on board. Each story has its own personality, but together they create a cohesive atmosphere that is unsettling in the best way. âGirl Protectedâ really stood out to me as an emotional and suspenseful opener and the stories centered around Reiny were my faves. Overall, this book was atmospheric, original, and enjoyable. I couldnât put it down.
Not Too Scary
I think this would work best with YA readers as the scares are not too scary. Unfortunately as an adult, the stories were too telly for me and not all that immersive. If I was immersed more with sensory details the whole thing would have been scarier.
A Haunting Anthology
Eternally Beautiful Summer Nights (Summer Night Screams) is a haunting anthology that juxtaposes idyllic summer evenings with spine-chilling terror. These interconnected tales explore hidden horrors lurking beneath sunlit beaches and starry skies, blending atmospheric beauty with sudden, visceral screams of dread. The author's evocative descriptions create immersive, nostalgic settings that twist into nightmares, revealing dark secrets and supernatural threats. While pacing varies across stories, the emotional impact and clever reveals captivate. Perfect for horror fans craving seasonal chills with poetic depth and unforgettable scares.
Good read!
Eternally Beautiful Summer Nights takes the warmth of summer and wraps it in ghost stories that shine. Each story like a legend youâd tell around a campfireâshort, unsettling, and strangely captivating. I loved how the author blends nostalgia with horror; itâs soft sunlight one minute, shadow the next. Perfect for fall nights like there when you want to feel just a little haunted.
