Needs some improvement
I liked the story but the writing was hard to follow. The dialog didn't sound authentic. It does need a lot more editing. Story does have potential.
Read it for yourself!
I couldn't decide whether to give this short novel 5 stars or 1 star Because it made me laugh. So hard, so often. Such a gift. But I don’t think that’s the first reaction the author wanted of me. I’m almost certain, but still not ENTIRELY certain, that the book is quite bad - but only in a traditional, technicfal sense. not as an expression of voice. One part of me suspects the author maybe is trolling me, some of it reading like a skit, and the material is so consistant, so methodically and relentlessly … whatever it is. But it's rife with spelling errors, so I’m sure it's real. I think I'm sure. Look - one of the very hardest things to do as an author is write with voice. It’s so hard, most authors just skip that step and learn technical tricks to blend their voice out of existence. But this writer’s voice is not trying to blend - may not be able to blend - and that's awesome to read. So I give the work 5 stars instead of 1 because of (what I think is?) an absolute purity of voice.
Intriguing Mixture of Paranormal and Magic
Beware of a Cursed Forest (Misty Falls Book 3) is a story about a young woman who through no fault of her own, finds herself attracted to a magic ring which gives good and bad powers to the wearer. She also is interested in solving a murder in a haunted forest. When she looks into it, gets kidnapped and almost killed. Beware of a Cursed Forest is an interesting mix of paranormal, magic, and horror. The story is best suited for young adults given the main character is 18 years old.
Great story! Had me hooked from page 3
I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I got it to read on the plane just as something to do, but then I couldn't put it down!
Spooky
This is a short story about a young married couple that came in possession of a cursed ring. If paranormal stories is your favorite genre, then this book was written for you.
Several Questions
I couldn't rate this novella very high because of so many grammatical and spelling errors, as well as abrupt changes in scenes, plot , etc. But why? This is not the first book from the author? Intentional? Again why? Who is the author's audience? Young adult? I have a nine year old granddaughter who I am encouraging to read for enjoyment...and also to eventually graduate through elementary school. I would never recommend this book to her. And this was a paranormal novel? I wasn't scared, intimidated, or otherwise excited once.
Intriguing
An intriguing, page turner book with an interesting prose.
Worst Book Ever
Choppy writing, sentences that have nothing to do with the previous paragraph, shallow characters, weird plot. I didn't like anything about this book. Why would she publish this? It's like an April Fool's joke.
